Charts and survey results from my potential target audience
This pie chart to the left is a reflection of my potential target audience's interests. Starting with 'The best brand' being the most popular. The reason for this is that the majority of females prefer 'popular' to 'unique'. Therefore, every one aims to purchase items in retail from the best brand that is expensive and is bought buy other females of the same age genre. 2nd is the option, 'makes products what i want'. This is because a lot of females have their own styles of fashion trend. So, they purchase items that suits them most. Coolish style is 3rd, a people want to look up to standard in public. Considering the idea that females like to look their best. Lastly, 'sport' has a low percentage of '6%', as not many females are sporty. Referring to the idea of 'masculinity'. '
The next pie chart is more hobby based than retail 'Fashion' based. This allows me to gather ideas on what my audience enjoy doing. We can see that the most enjoyable hobby is 'traveling'. This expresses the thought of females being adventurous. Therefore, they are inspired by new things. This idea will come useful when designing my conventions for my media product. The other percentages and activities have a lower percentage. So this shows us the majority of people enjoy traveling.
Below is the styles of brand that my audience find most appealing through percentages...

Mood board of audience's interests
To the left is a mood board of the interests i have gathered from my target audience ( females/ young adults), i created using photoshop. The tools i used for this was the 'rectangular marquee tool' to select the area of the image and the 'edit copy, edit, paste' options to paste the image onto the A4 layer of the mood-board.The places and Brands from the images on the mood board are all things that my audience enjoy doing or enjoy buying a particular brand of item. I have included things like Makeup brands, coffee shops, restaurants high street stores, shopping centres, Gym centres and Learning how to drive, as there are many teens/ young adults learning how to drive with many driving schools around the North east. Considering that all of these things can be enjoyed in the regional area of Sunderland to Newcastle.

Audience Feedback

Audience group chat- social Media
(Facebook)
To the left is a chat made, using Facebook where feedback was gathered about what people enjoy doing in their spare time. This means, the features included on the media product can relates to the hobbies people enjoy doing in their spare time. In addition, the people in this chat are all females, which relates to my target audience genre. Therefore, the feedback is useful for magazine, website and billboard ideas.
Pacific places are mentioned, which means they can be identified in the magazine, by using the likes of a logo or a quotation that advertises the place. Furthermore, seen as though my product is regional. The places mentioned are all in the area of the north east. therefore, this can support my knowledge for my target audience.

Here i have made a chat with another person with the age genre of my target audience. I intend to interview them and ask a few questions about what they think will work well for my media product.
I made a college using photoshop of the 4 images i like best for a double page spread. I will consider the audience's response of which number image they like best.
The response from this person was that they liked the first image best. I plan to ask more people about this and create a survey of which they think looks the most effective.
I moved on from this by asking more people of the same audience genre which image they liked best for a double page spread, 1,2,3 or 4...
here is my Facebook post and the responses i got...
Image 1 and 4 were evenlly most popular. Therefore, will decide from here which image i plan to use for my Double page spread. This is basically the decision of wether i want to use a close up image or a long shot image. Personally, i find image 1 will work best because my other shots in my magazine are more close up's. So, in this case, i can experiment with different shots of image in my media product. Moreover, image in image 1, we can notice the chair ( prop) more clearly. My other images do not use props as such, so this is a stronger image to use.

As reflection of potential target audience

Above is an AS reflection of the development of my potential target audience for a music magazine , aimed at teenagers age 16-19years. The audience for this magazine is very similar to my magazine, although the theme is changed to fashion. My magazine audience with the theme of 'Fashion' in A2, lies between the 'teenager and the adult stage'. Therefore, my audience are matured enough to have a passion for clothes and accessories. Although, this story board above is interesting because although fashion is mainly for my target audience of young adults. Many young adults with young babies dress their children in fashion branded clothing. So, there is a reason the 'baby stage' could be relative to 'fashion'. The same goes for young children and todlers.

Character Drawings

Using Photoshop, i have created a character drawing of my potential audience ( aged 18-25 year old females). The tools i used for this was the Paint bucket tool, magnetic lasso tool, brush tool and colour chart. This allowed me to create a character like person. I have chosen this girl as she links to my target audience and the idea of 'fashion'. The clothing she is wearing represents fashion and therefore she is passionate for fashion ( relating to audience).
Audience moodboard
To the left is a moodpboard of the genre of audience i intend to target for my 'Fashion product'. The age i plan to target is around 18-25 year old young women. This is because many fashion magazines have a 'mature' style to them. Such as 'Vogue'. We notice the models used are around this age as well. So, the target audience is mainly of this genre. There are more female fashion magazines in the Fashion industry than male magazines. Therefore, i felt picking a female audience was best because i could do more research around female magazines, websites and billboards. The key to fashion is the clothing the model wearing being unique and the character the model has. We see the first image on the moodboard shows too girls pulling expressions. This expresses character and we tend to find these type of people are interested in 'Fashion' as it is exciting. The other images focus more on the fashion it's self and how 'feminine' is shown within the clothing. As wells the idea of 'Unique'.

Research into surveys

I plan to look into surveys and research into my target audience genre ( young adults) opinions, on pacific fashion magazines. such as Elle, Vogue, Glamour and more magazines in this genre and wether the target audience are satisfied with the product or not. This will give me an idea of how I can design my product and take inspiration from official products...
Magazine survey results for my targeted genre (young adults)...
Above is an example of Survey results which a female audience has completed. The survey consists of results that the target audience have read within the last 12 months. We can see that 645 people have completed this survey and the most read fashion magazine is 'In style'. Followed by ' The Oprah magazine' (music magazine). Then 'Vogue magazine'( fashion magazine). This result is based on 2016.
VOGUE MAGAZINE TARGET AUDIENCE VOTE ( TWITTER- SOCIAL MEDIA)...

We can notice that in this vote, the target audience is voted as 'everyone'. The reason behind this could be because 'Vogue' is such a big part of the fashion industry. Also, vogue has a unique style of fashion that seems to appeal to the younger generation of audience and we can notice the votes have came from young twitter users. So, in this case, this is vogue's target audience.
Different themed magazines preference vote...
This result shows us that the vote from the younger genre of audience have voted their favorite style of magazine as being 'Fashion' and 'Beauty'. Therefore, we can recognize the votes have came from a female audience. This result also represents how popular fashion magazines are and how successful they are. The 'Beauty' magazine idea s ver much like the 'Fashion' magazine. As 'beauty' can be a feature of 'fashion'.
